About Sojourn Montrose Church
Sojourn Montrose is a neighborhood church inviting men, women, and children to follow Jesus in the historic Christian faith. Planted in Montrose in 2013, our congregation is formed in authentic community and anchored in historic biblical Christianity. We submit to the Bible as God’s revealed Word, worship through historic liturgy, and are grounded in regular rhythms of communion and baptism.
Theologically, we are confessional; our foundational beliefs are rooted in the Nicene Creed, The Gospel Coalition Confessional Statement, and the Acts 29 Theological Distinctives. We are also an open-handed, dual-practicing church regarding the sacrament of baptism.
As a neighborhood congregation, the geographic center of church life is the neighborhood of Montrose. As such, our leadership team is expected to live in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood Parishes serve as the primary engines of discipleship and community engagement.
